Natmal

Natmal Terms of Use

Effective date: October 25, 2026.

These terms govern your use of Natmal: Korean Crossword (“Natmal”, “the app”), provided by MIKOMARU (미코마루) (“we”, “us”). By using the app you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The app

Natmal is a Korean-language crossword and review app. Answers are Korean words; clues are shown in the language you choose. Clues and example translations are prepared with the help of automated tools and may occasionally contain mistakes. Natmal is a learning aid and is not a substitute for a dictionary or formal instruction.

2. Your account

When you first open the app, we create an anonymous guest account so that your progress can be saved. You do not need to provide a name or email. Your progress is tied to that account on your device: if you uninstall the app or clear its data, you may not be able to recover your progress. You can delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy).

3. Free features and Premium

Some content is free (for example, the first beginner levels, one daily puzzle per day and a daily number of reviews). Natmal Premium unlocks all grades and levels, unlimited review, pronunciation, the missed-word book and a weekly streak freeze. The features included in Premium are described on the Premium screen in the app and may change over time; we will not remove the core benefit of a plan you have already paid for during the paid period.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

5. Coins

Coins are an in-app item that can be used to reveal a letter in a puzzle. Coins have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money or transferred, and are tied to your Natmal account. Coins are not restored by “Restore purchases” and are lost if you delete your account or your account is deleted for inactivity. Except where required by law or by the store’s refund policy, coin purchases are final.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer, scrape or copy the app’s puzzles or content at scale, interfere with or overload our services, circumvent purchase checks, or use the app for any unlawful purpose.

7. Content and intellectual property

The app, its design and its puzzles are owned by us or our licensors. Dictionary information is based on the Korean Learners’ Dictionary of the National Institute of Korean Language and is used under its license terms. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial learning.

8. Availability and changes

We may update, change or discontinue features, puzzles or the app. We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. If we discontinue Premium while you have an active subscription, you will not be charged for future periods.

9. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract under the laws of your country of residence (including statutory rights in the European Union and the United Kingdom).

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data or progress, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This does not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Termination

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms.

12. App Store terms

If you downloaded Natmal from Apple’s App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims or intellectual property infringement claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page and, for material changes, notify you in the app before they take effect. If you continue to use the app after the changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.
